Unsure of what’s next for you after graduation or what career path you want to pursue? Attend the Graduate Career Bootcamp!

SJSU alumni and employers will share their own college-to-career transitions and give advice on successfully navigating life after college.

Topics discussed will include job search / networking, resume, LinkedIn profile, virtual interviewing, and staying motivated during the job search. We will have an audience Q&A, so come prepared with questions for the panelists.

Athlete Financial Education Webinar #2

Starting this year, I will be offering regular Zoom meetings that athletes can attend to hear more about different financial educational topics. I've found that my subject matter expertise typically covers things that athletes are interested in learning more about, but rarely get covered in generic financial literacy education. Some examples include providing understanding of cryptocurrencies, real estate investments, NFTs, monetizing your social media brand, etc. 

There are currently two Zoom Meetings scheduled for Tuesday, Nov 7th from 7:00 - 8:00 PM EST and Tues, December 12th from 7:00 - 8:00 PM EST. The 11/7 session will be on investing in real estate and the 12/12 meeting will be on “Going Pro”. !

Celebrate the Holiday Season with San Jose State Student Athletes at SAAC’s Holiday Party. We will have a gingerbread house decorating contest, christmas movies, hot chocolate bar, photo booth, ugly sweater competition and much more! Food will be provided to those who sign up on teamworks.

SpartUp Incubator Speaker Series: International Entrepreneurship

SpartUp Incubator Speaker Series:

International Entrepreneurship

This event will focus on international entrepreneurship for founders of all backgrounds. We will feature entrepreneurs and thought leaders who will share their personal experiences and insights on global business, entrepreneurship, and diversity as an asset. You may view their biographies here.

The event will take place on Thursday, November 9th at 4:00 p.m. in the SJPL Works space on the 3rd floor of the Martin Luther King Jr. Library. Stay after our panel discussion for a Founder Fiesta to network with other founders and entrepreneurs. Pizza and snacks will be provided!

The SpartUp Incubator offers founder support programs, speaker events, mentorship, and startup grants to interdisciplinary students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Our mission, as a part of the Office of Innovation, is to support members with the resources, networks, technologies, and experiences they need to advance through ideation, prototyping, planning, and fundraising.

SAAC is collecting sanitary products and sports bras to donate to local female youth who may be struggling from housing insecurity. Help us reach our goal of 10,000 donations. Donations will benefit; Next Door Solutions, Spartan Food Pantry, Clothes Closet and Bill Wilson Center.

This drive will run through the whole month of October.

As the DEI Senior Business Leader at Cisco, Classye oversees and leads the business adoption and integration of the DEI Action Plan and programs, initiatives, and expectations for each Engineering and Corporate Function organization. Working with all functional community partners, DEI business leads, and senior executives to develop and execute the DEI action plan and achieve yearly aspirations, social justice commitments, and increased engagement and representation from underrepresented and under supported communities.


Classye James is also the Founder and President of Shakeout, a nonprofit organization focused on educating and connecting current and former athletes to tools and resources for personal and professional development. Date: Sunday, September 24th | CEFCU Stadium Field

Event Starts: 6:30pm | Movie Starts: 7:00 PM

Student-athletes are invited to enjoy watching Guardians of the Galaxy on the big screen in CEFCU Stadium! Snacks and beverages will be provided. Bring your own chairs, blankets and whatever else you may need to be comfortable and warm on the field! Event begins at 6:30pm, the movie will start at 7pm.
